It is late afternoon in Robin Hood's Bay, which means it's time to head back home and change for tea. The fishermen may be done for the day, but this doesn't stop the little ones from catching crabs in the shallow waters.

Robin Hood's Bay is a small fishing village in North Yorkshire, whose name derives from the English legend of Robin Hood. After encountering French pirates, who came to pillage the fisherman's boats and the northeast coast, Robin Hood forced the pirates to surrender and returned the loot to the poor people of Robin Hood's Bay Village.

Terry Harrison is one of the most popular artists in the Gibsons range and is renowned for his beautiful harbour scene paintings. Robin Hood's Bay is a 1000 piece puzzle that is made from 100% recycled card of the highest quality.

As with all Gibsons jigsaws, they use 100% recycled puzzle board, FSC paper and work with the best artists from all around the world. The beautifully illustrated pieces are designed to fit perfectly together; in fact, we use the thickest puzzle board on the market. Everyone loves a Gibsons jigsaw, even Her Majesty the Queen has been spotted with one.

Same great puzzles, kinder to the environment. This jigsaw puzzle is planet-friendly. Not only does the box have a fresh new look, but Gibsons have used biodegradable clear labels to secure the lid instead of shrink wrap to reduce plastic waste. There is a gloss varnish on the box for extra protection and the pieces are stored in a bag that can be recycled by some councils.

Because the box is slightly smaller than Gibsons previous designs, they need less room to transport their products which reduces carbon footprint and means you can store your puzzles more easily. Gibsons have also popped an artwork poster inside for you to reference whilst you piece together your lovely jigsaw puzzle.
