LION IONIZER

WATER IS BETTER WITH MINERALS

Lion Ionizer releases microscopic mineral ions into your pool or hot tub which control bacteria and algae.  This allows you to reduce the chlorine, algaecide and other chemicals by up to 90%.  The Lion Ionizer costs less than a salt chlorinator and Lion Ionizer pools are less effort to maintain than traditional chlorine or salt pools.



FORGET ABOUT ALGAECIDE

Lion Ionizer minerals are very effective at controlling algae.  You will rarely need to add algaecide, no matter how much sun you get.

PERFECTLY BALANCED

Chlorine and salt chlorinators affect the PH balance of the water.  This means you constantly have to adjust the balance up or down using chemicals.  Lion  mineral ions are completely neutral so PH stays in range longer.

SAFE FOR YOUR PROPERTY

Salt is corrosive to some pool equipment and structures.  Many manufacturers will void your warranty if you use salt.  Lion Ionizer is completely harmless to your pool equipment, structure and landscaping.

MINERALS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH SALT

If you like your salt water pool but want to reduce the chlorine, minerals can help.  Adding Lion Ionizer to your salt water pool allows you to turn down the chlorinator to the lowest setting, which prolongs the life of your salt cell.  Less chlorine generation means less PH balancing effort.  Minerals also help the salt chlorinator keep up with algae on those sunny summer days.


WHERE DOES IT GO?

The Lion Ionizer System consists of a controller, a clear PVC tee and a set of mineral plates called an electrode.

The PVC tee is plumbed into your plumbing on the line that runs heated, filtered water into your pool or spa.


The electrode is threaded into the tee and is connected to the controller with an electrical cable.



WHERE DO THE MINERALS COME FROM?

The controller charges the two plates of the electrode with a precise electrical current.

As the electrical current jumps from one plate to the other through the water, microscopic mineral particles are released.

The electricity gives these particles a positive charge or "ionizes" them, which converts them into mineral ions.


WHAT DO THE MINERALS DO?

Positively charged mineral ions are attracted to negatively charged bacteria and algae cells and kills them by changing their molecular structure.  The dead cells combine into chunks that are collected by the filter.



POOL IONIZER

Pool Ionizers add natural minerals to the water, which control bacteria and algae.

Since chlorine is linked to asthma and other respiratory illnesses, this chlorine reduction is the biggest benefit of pool ionizers.

Mineral pools are usually less maintenance than chlorine or salt water pools.  This is because the minerals are always active in the water controlling algae and bacteria.  The algae in particular is what usually gives the water a cloudy look.  Pools with Ionizers stay crystal clear all Summer, even if you forget to add chlorine, because the minerals are always in there working.

Mineral pools usually stay within the typical PH range which means you don't need to store harmful muriatic acid to use for balancing PH.
